Position Description

Location: London
Salary: £ 60,000 + bonus 10%

Our client is looking for a skilled business/technical analyst with experience in software functional design. You must be a person who can recognize the needs, gather requirements, identify the “big picture”, understand the details and design solutions in the form of functional design specifications and related documentation. You will be working to bridge the gap between various product management and engineering teams, ensuring that solutions are designed that meet the requirements of the business, our users, and all other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Document, review, clarify, edit and maintain product and requirement specifications, focused primarily on functionality, but with some participation in technical design
•Understand and gather business requirements
•Facilitate workshops between product and customer stakeholders
•Gain a sound knowledge of their product on Mobile devices and the effect of the requested changes on the devices.
•Identify relevant use-cases and document process flows
•Coach and consult others on ways to improve specification writing skills
•Contribute to the overall structure of the specifications and the improvements to specification standards
•Play a significant role in the growing of the analysis practice

Pre-requisite Knowledge, Skills and Experience

•Required:
•Understanding of Mobile business and software technology basics
•Excellent spoken and written English, excellent interpersonal communication skills
•Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
•Outstanding attention to detail and problem solving
•Ability to present complicated information clearly
•Ability to work effectively to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
•Interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with people in multiple locations
•Desirable
•Experience in software functional design
•Understanding of peer-to-peer networks, mobile technology and VOIP
•Understanding of Project life cycle and practices like PRINCE2, Agile waterfall, etc.
•Experienced user of our clients product
•Experience working with remote development teams

Essential qualifications
