Summary:
Develop and implement sales strategies for generating revenue and maintaining a favorable relationship with customer. Responsible for calling on customer, developing and coordinating sales plans and presentations, and ensuring an adequate sales service level.
Responsibilities:
Work with sales and marketing management to study and develop sales and marketing strategies to support selling to national customers. Coordinate all major contacts with national accounts. Review national account procurement systems and distribution needs. Coordinate sales personnel in developing sales presentations. Participate in or present sales and marketing programs. Conduct long-range studies of changes in national account sales and servicing strategies. Project long-range programs to meet customer needs. Assure that new or modified selling plans are consistent with present sales policies and sales service capabilities. Work with marketing management to develop appropriate product and merchandising support. This includes product packages, promotions, brand or private labels, pricing, billing, etc. Make periodic checks before and after sales to major national accounts. Ensure that continuing contacts are made and that proper sales service support is provided. Advise management of any breakdown in communications, loss of sales contact or service, and ensure that corrective action is taken. Work with marketing and distribution management in developing studies of the most effective distribution and inventory systems and procedures to service national accounts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related curriculum and a minimum of 3 years outside sales experience selling telecommunications products, preferably wire and cable, required. Additional relevant experience (i.e. more than 5 years) may be considered in lieu of the education requirement. Must be self-directed, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and possess demonstrated sales and marketing skills. Frequent travel required. Must live in or be willing to relocate to the territory area.
