What does smarterer mean ?

I think they were making fun of Steve Jobs' use of the word 'funnest' in his keynote to introduce the newest iPod Touch. Apparently Apple is using the word 'funnest' in some iPod touch ad campaigns: http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/gallery/ads/

Funnest-until Steve Jobs said so-has historically not been a word. Google decided to use words like smarterer and funnerer as a joke I am guessing. The whole ad seems a little over the top really.
